Coastal Collective is now open! Located at 1223 Ben Sawyer Boulevard in Mt. Pleasant, this unique wellness and aesthetic practice is headed up by April Cannon Nius. She is a board certified Nurse Practitioner who has spent over 10 years learning the tricks of the trade in New York City where she worked alongside is one of the most well-regarded and sought-after dermatologists in the industry, Dr. Bruce Katz. Dr. Katz was the first physician in the United States to introduce SmartLipo, a groundbreaking laser fat removal procedure and EM-Sculpt, the newest revolution in body sculpting. He has also been featured on The Today ShowThe Dr. Oz ShowThe Doctors20/20The ViewCNN, and Good Morning America. Under the direction of Dr. Katz, Cannon Nius learned the most current and effective techniques to address aging skin. She also assisted Dr. Katz in the clinical trials for Radiesse hands and Kybella approval.

Taking her vast experience in the beauty industry, Cannon Nius decided to create an aesthetic and wellness spa like no other in Charleston. Coastal Collective is a warm yet modern, renovated space, offering services such as nutrient-rich IV therapies, IV facials, the latest lasers to restore and rejuvenate the skin, fillers and toxins to renew the face along with skincare products not yet available anywhere else in the state.

“There are a lot of aesthetic spas out there”, says Cannon Nius, “I knew I had to be different. I have taken the cutting-edge aesthetic techniques I learned in NYC, and paired them with my years of study in how to keep the body healthy and youthful,” she says. “This includes treating the whole person both inside and out, using powerful IV therapies and supplements, potent science-based skincare and the best industry tools available.”

Cannon Nius says her philosophy for external beauty is simple, “more is not always more. I love taking a naturally lovely canvas and making small improvements that help clients feel and look their best. With a little cheek and under eye filler along with one of our laser treatments to enhance collagen and tighten the skin, my clients can simplify their skincare routines and feel gorgeous going make-up free.”

Cannon Nius shares her business with physician, Dan Ripley, MD, who currently has a practice in Beaufort as well. Together, they strive to create beauty and wellness in every patient. Cannon Nius and Ripley are also fortunate to share a location with the popular women’s clothier, Mulberry and King. Their newly-renovated boutique faces Ben Sawyer Boulevard while Coastal Collective is located just behind. The space was designed by local architect Neil Stevenson. Both offer ample parking for their clients.
